Community Charter

This charter outlines our pledge to the community throughout this development. The following points form our  ‘Community Charter’ and our commitment to local residents.

• Regular Newsletter & Bulletin updates will be provided to residents
• There will be a point of contact provided at all times
• We will be respectful to neighbouring residents and pedestrians
• We will work within the planning conditions for the set hours of work:
  8am – 6pm Monday to Friday
  8am – 1pm Saturday
• Every delivery to site will be coordinated
• All machinery will be immobilised at the end of each working day
• Contractors will not obstruct resident parking
• All operatives will wear the required PPE (personal protective equipment)

Working together with the Hayes Town Resident Engagement Panel (REP) in February
and March 2023, we collectively agreed the following commitments:

• To deliver one event per month for residents
• To work together with residents to develop and shape social value initiatives
• To inform residents of all job vacancies linked to the development
• To keep all site access roads clear where possible
• To avoid deliveries during school pick up and drop off times where possible
• To measure and report on social value outcomes and achievements
• To provide our Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) results

Higgins is a partner of CCS (Considerate Constructors Scheme) which demonstrates our commitment to conform to the Code of Considerate Practice.

The three categories we are monitored against are:
