Christmas Fundraising & Charity Donations

Summary of Activity
Higgins Partnerships was delighted along with our site team and our subcontractors to have donated a total of £1,650 for Christmas 2022 to these wonderful charities to further support their efforts in tackling the food poverty and homelessness in the borough.
Hillingdon Foodbank
Higgins donated £100 to Hillingdon foodbank which provides local residents of the borough of Hillingdon with food aid for those less able to afford food resulting from job loss to cost of living. Their ethos is that they want no one in their community to face going hungry. That’s why they are providing three days nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crises. They are a nationwide service supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the United Kingdom.
The Care Pack
Higgins donated £1550 to the Care Pack, we requested that the donation should be prioritised for the borough of Hillingdon and the charity therefore engaged with various provisions that operate locally to tackle homelessness to ensure these care packs reach rough sleepers in the borough. The Care Pack is a charity launched in 2017 as a personal project by their founder Hootan Ahmadi to help some of London’s rough sleepers cope with the harsh winter conditions. Their aim on the first year was to put together and distribute 30 backpacks filled with essential items and to distribute them by Christmas 2017. As you can see today, they are still supporting and are now providing as much help as possible to people in need which goes to show the demand that this kind of service is currently providing to tackle a growing homeless crises we face in London.
