Khalid Yusuf, Trainee Site Manager

Khalid is a Hillingdon resident and recent university graduate having studied Construction Management two years ago. It was vital for Khalid to find a work placement to apply the knowledge he had learnt and gain practical work experiences.

Khalid attended a job fair where he met Evolve Apprentices, an apprenticeship provider. Evolve Apprentices works in partnership with Hillingdon Council and that is how Khalid heard about Higgins Partnerships who are also a partner of Evolve.

On Site:
Khalid has learned a lot since he started his career with Higgins Partnerships in May 2024. For the first time, Khalid is on site as a recognised Trainee Site Manager, managing different subcontractors and is flourishing in his role. In the three months since Khalid started on-site, he has built a good rapport not only with the Higgins site team but also with different subcontractors. Khalid has a lot of potential, and this is shown by the working relations and people management that are evidently seen on site daily.

Future Goals:
Khalid wishes to increase his professional knowledge and training to soon hold the title of Assistant Site Manager and then progress through the ranks and have a long prosperous career with Higgins Partnerships.

“I feel supported and have been made to feel welcome by the team at both Hayes Town Centre and Avondale Drive. I have learned valuable on the job experience, such as people management and communication. I am currently a Trainee Site Manager and hoping soon to be an Assistant Site Manager.”
